Cheap Leap Frog Toys

If your kids have a Leapster, this week Kmart has all their games on sale for $15. But wait, it gets even better. There is a $5 coupon you can print from coupons.com. You can get a Leapster game for only $10. This is a great deal. They are usually over $20 each.

If you do not have a Leapster system, Target has them on sale this week for only $34.

Target also has the Leap Frog Tag on sale for $39. There is a coupon at coupons.com for $10, so you can get it for only $29.

Kmart also has the Tag books on sale for $9.99. You can find a $5 coupon at coupons.com or in last weeks coupon insert.

Don't forget that if you have the ad, Wal-Mart will price match.

These are great deals. We have a Leapster, so I bought a couple of games for the girls. I also bought the Tag reading system. Cassidy loves playing with it when we go to the toy section. I was able to buy 4 books also. We are planning to give some of these to the girls for Easter. I think I might save a few for a little later.

More Cheap Baby Wipes

With the Proctor & Gamble promotion going on this week at Kroger, I decided to get a few more packages of baby wipes. The wipes were on sale for $2.61 each. When you buy 3 products, then you get $3 off your order. That put them down to $1.61 each. Then I had 3 coupons for $0.50 off and Kroger doubles the coupons, that was another $1.00 off each package. So I got 3 packages for $0.61 each.

Cheap Shampoo & a Pedicure?

Herbal Essences Shampoo has a promotion going on right now, if you buy 2 bottles of shampoo and/or conditioner, then you get a certificate for a free manicure or pedicure. I have been looking for the bottles of shampoo with the green sticker on it for a while. (You have to buy the ones with the promotion listed.)

Kroger has Herbal Essences shampoo on sale this week 2 for $5.00. I had a coupon for $3.00 off 2.

So I got 2 bottles of shampoo, 2 bottles of conditioner, and 2 manicures or pedicures for only $4.78.

Wow, what a deal!

Update: I found out that the Herbal Essence Shampoo is a part of the Proctor & Gamble promotion. If you buy 3 in one order, then you get $3 off. If I would have bought 3, then my total before coupons would have been $7.50. Then I would have got the $3.00 off for the promotion and I could have still used my $3.00 off 2. My total then would have been $1.50 before tax. You would only need 2 with the Manicure/Pedicure label, the third one could be anything. You could do this 2 times if you want 2 free manicure or pedicures. You have to send in the original receipt, so you would need to to 2 transactions.

UPDATE #2: Someone in our local area tried to get the $3.00 off when they bought 3 Herbal Essences Shampoos, but it did not work. I guess it was not a tagged item.

Free Cat Food

While gathering a few things from my Kroger shopping trip to take a picture and blog about, Cassidy asked about the cat food. I told her I did not want it in the picture. She carefully held up the bag and asked me to take a picture of her with the cat food. She is so funny.

I had a coupon from the newspaper for a free bag of Healthful Life cat food (up to $2.12). Kroger had them on sale for $1.00. I got it for free. We do not have a cat, but my mom and my mother in law both do. I will give it to one of them.

Cheap Baby Wipes

On Wednesday, I went to Kroger to get a few things for supper. I did not take the kids, so I thought I would check out a few prices and look for deals. I walked past the clearance bin and saw about 15 refill packages of baby wipes. I looked and they were only $2.00 each. How could I pass this up? I had coupons (at home) for $2.00 off any 2 Pampers, which would make these refills $1.00 each.

Here is what I got:
  • 10 - Pampers Refills Baby Wipes - original price $6.57 - on clearance for $2.00 each
  • 2 - Nature Made Vitamins - original price $2.59 - on clearance for $1.50 each
  • 2 - Electrasol Dishwasher Detergent - $3.08 each
  • Coupons Used:
    • 5 - $2.00 off 2 Pampers
    • 2 - $1.00 off Nature Made
    • 2 - $0.50 off Electrasol (doubled to $1.00)
    • Received $1.00 back to use on next shopping trip from Electrasol
Total Original Price: $77.04
Total Sale & Clearance Price: $29.16
Coupons Used: $14.00
Total Cost after coupons (before tax): $15.16

% Saved: 80%

Wow! I won't need baby wipes for a while.

Free Gas

Amy, a friend of mine, e-mailed me to let my know about a promotion Sears has going on until June 15, 2008. If you buy $100 worth of Men's Dockers products (excluding shoes), then you can get a $75 Shell gas card through the mail. Clearance and sale items are included in the promotion. Look HERE to read more about it.

This would be great to buy something for dad for Father's Day. Then you can get something for yourself in return.

Coupons for your Kroger Card

If you haven't already, you need to sign up to get coupons for your Kroger Card. You can save a lot of money and you don't have to clip coupons. Or if you want, you can use the coupons on your Kroger Card and a paper coupon and save even more. Go to Shortcuts.com, P&G eSaver, or Unilever to sign up for you e coupons. You can also go to Kroger.com and look under the "In Store" tab and click on coupons. You can only load 25 coupons to your card at one time. That is combining the 3 different web sites for the coupons. The only way to remove a coupon is to use it or if it expires. I made the mistake of loading all I could on the first website and then on the other ones, I had to limit what I wanted because I could only load a few.

Here is a few examples of what I did this week with the coupons on my Kroger Card:

  • Wisk detergent was on sale for $3.49. I had a $1.50 coupon on my Kroger Card and a $1.50 paper coupon. I spent only $0.49 for the Wisk detergent.
  • Warm Delights was $1.99. These are the individual deserts found by the cake mixes. I had a $0.50 coupon on the Kroger card and a $0.40 coupon which was doubled to $0.80. I got the Warm Delights for $0.69.
  • Bertolli Pasta was on sale for $5.29. These are in the freezer section and is a complete meal. I had a $1.50 coupon on the Kroger Card and a $1.25 paper coupon. I got the Bertolli Pasta for $2.54.
  • Snuggle was on sale for $3.49. I had a $1.00 coupon on my Kroger Card and $1.00 paper coupon. I got the Snuggle for $1.49.
There are many other deals you could get. Don't forget you can combine the coupons on your Kroger Card with paper coupons.

Only 2 Days Left

You only have 2 days left to sign up for your free $25.00. I have researched this company and it looks legitimate. They are trying to compete with paypal. To get as many people as possible to sign up, they are offering a $25 bonus for a limited time (through May 15, 2008). You have to sign up before then to receive your $25.

You can then either request a check or connect the account to your bank account and transfer the money. You do not have to keep this account open if you do not want. You may close it at any time.

I connected my Revolution Money Exchange to my bank account and transferred my money. It took a few days to get my money. It was very easy to do. My husband decided to request a check and he got it in about a week and a half.

Click the link to join and receive your money. If you have any questions or need help, either leave a comment or email me at amyjr76@yahoo.com

Using Coupons

Here is a picture of some of the things I got at Wal-Mart over the weekend. I used coupons for each one.

-The Honey Bunches of Oats were $1.98 I used a $2 coupon, I got these for free.
-The Windex wipes were on clearance for $2 each. I had 2 $1 off, so I paid $1 for each one.
-The Zantac was $4.23 and I had a coupon for $5 off, so I got this for free.
-The Pampers wipes were $2.54 each and I had a coupon for $2 off 2, so I got each one for $1.54.
-The beans were $1.25 each and I had a coupon for $1 off each one. So I got these for $0.25 each.
-The Clean Team wipes were $1.64 each, I had a $3 off 2 coupon, so I got these for $0.14 each.

I saved $16.00 with the coupons, so for the things here I spent a grand total of $5.07 without tax. Of course, I needed many other things. I wish I could get such discounts on everything I need.

With some of the money I saved on Saturday, I bought a new coupon organizer. I was so excited. It is nice be be able to find the coupon I want to use without having to look at every coupon I have. Here are a couple of pictures.

Reuseable Bags

I got a free reusable shopping bag (the green one) last week at Wal-Mart. They were giving them away in honor of Earth Day. After I got that one, I decided I liked it and bought the blue one from Kroger. Later I discovered that you could design a reusable shopping bag online at www.kroger.com and a free bag would be loaded on your Kroger card. So I have 3 reusable bags and only paid for one of them. The one I paid for only cost $0.80.

I took all three of them to Wal-Mart this morning and everything I bought fit in the bags, except the 2 gallons of water I bought. I was happy that only three bags could carry so much.

I Spent $3.54

Here is a picture of what I got at Kroger. I only spent $3.54! WOW! I have never got so much for so little (unless someone else was buying). I got 5 boxes of cereal for $0.50 each. When we got to the check out, Callie wanted some candy. I let her get some since I was getting the cereal so cheap.

Here is how I did it:
Kroger has select cereal on sale this week for 4 for $10.00, and then if you buy 4 you get $4.00 off your bill instantly. So that would make the price 4 for $6.00. I then had 4 coupons for $0.50 off Cheerios and Kroger gives you a bonus coupon if the original coupon was $0.50 or less. So for each box of Cheerios, I got $1.00 off the price. So now I have 4 boxes of Cheerios for $2.00. That makes the boxes of Cheerios $0.50 each.

Then I found a site to print $2.00 off a box of Honey Bunches of Oats with Chocolate. I thought we would give it a try. The sale price at Kroger was $2.50. So this box of cereal was only $0.50 also.

Of course, the candy was 3 for $1.00.

I also got $0.08 off because I brought in my own bags.

Look in the lower right hand corner for the place to click for the coupon.
Honey Bunches of Oats with Chocolate Clusters Coupon

The Cheerios coupons can be found by clicking the link below. You have to sign up, but you can print at least 4 coupons, maybe more.
