Tag! I'm it!

I was tagged by Amy at The Wells Family blog. I am supposed to post the 4th picture from the 4th folder. I save my pictures in several different places. This is the 4th picture from the 4th folder in one of the places I save them.
This is Cassidy giving her cat a bath a Build a Bear. She enjoyed making the cat and picked lots of clothes for it.

I am suppose to tag 4 people who read this blog and also have a blog. I am going to do like Amy did and just say if you read this blog, then you have been tagged. Leave a comment if you post this on your blog.

CVS - Thanksgiving Day

I went to CVS early on Thanksgiving Day. I wanted to take advantage of some of the deals they were having. Here is a picture of what I got:

I did it in 3 separate transactions.

In the first transaction, my total was $54.91 before coupons. I used $17.55 in coupons and $35.99 in ECBs. I paid $2.05 out of pocket. I earned $28.94 in ECBs.

In the second transaction, my total was $40.36 before coupons. I used $17.55 in coupons and $21.91 in ECBs. I paid $1.39 out of pocket. I earned $17.17 in ECBs.

In the third transaction, my total was $33.95 before coupons. I used $4.00 in coupons and $24.16 in ECBs. I paid $6.55 out of pocket. I earned $33.95 in ECBs.

I did not do as good as I should have, but I ended up spending less than $10 in cash and I have $33.95 in ECBs to spend later. After looking at my receipts, I can see I could have rearranged my transactions and spent less out of pocket. I am still learning.

Did you shop CVS on Thanksgiving? What did you get?

Free Diapers

I participated in a diaper survey a little while back with Chloe. I received a small pack of diapers. I was asked to use them day and night in place of our regular diapers and then I filled out a few questions about the diapers. A few days later, I got a call from the company and told them the answers I put for each question. Since I completed the entire diaper survey, I also received a $10 thank you check in the mail. I received free diapers and $10. It was great.

I just got another call. They were looking for babies in size 4 diapers. They had to be over 22 pounds. Of course Chloe is not there yet, but Callie is not potty trained and she wears a size 4 diaper. I am going to participate in the survey with Callie.

The lady on the phone also asked if I knew anyone else who may want to participate. She asked if I would give the phone number to call. The company's name is Arquest. They are looking for babies in size 4 diapers who are at least 22 pounds.

If you have a girl, call 1-888-342-7372 ext. 646
If you have a boy, call 1-888-342-7372 ext. 634

Even if you don't get to participate this time, they may keep your name for next time.

CVS Challenge Ends

I finished my $25 CVS Challenge. I started in June and kept money on my gift card until November, so almost 6 months). I looked back at everything I bought and found that I got over $300 worth of stuff at CVS for $25. That is just amazing. I think it is great. I probably could have done even better, but I was ready for it to end. I had fun doing it and I may do something like this again in the future. I hope you enjoyed reading. If you would like to see everything I bought, you can go HERE to see all the posts in the CVS Challenge category. I did not get pictures of everything, but I did post about everything.

K-Mart Trips

A few weeks ago, K-mart had their Max Factor products on sale. They were buy one, get one free. There was a coupon a while back for buy one, get one free for any lip product. I went and got 8 lip glosses and only had to pay tax. My total was $2.01. The lip glosses were originally $6.49 each so with out the sale and the coupons, my total would have been $51.92 without tax. You can click on the picture to get a better view of the receipt. This was a great find. These will make great stocking stuffers and fillers for gift baskets.

I also took advantage of the Super Double coupons at K-mart last week. The total for the products in the picture totaled about $55 and after the coupons, I only paid about $8.50. (I am not sure where the receipt for an exact total.) I look at the picture and think I would not pay over $50 for these products. I would not have bought these if I didn't have coupons and they were not doubled. You can get some great deals if you have the right coupons when K-mart has their Super Double Coupons. I am not sure if they will do it again or not, but if they do, I will try to post about it.

Where Have I Been?

If you read this blog regularly, you may be asking yourself what happened. I know I try to post deals on a regular basis, but things have come up and I've been busy.

Two weeks ago, Chloe (my youngest daughter) was sick. She had a fever and a cold. I took her to the doctor and found out she only had a cold.

On Thursday night that week, my mom called to tell me that my grandma had died. She was just 1 day (actually just a few hours) from turning 80 years old. She had been in the nursing home for a few months. In that time, she gotten to where she had a hard time getting around. The visitation was Saturday evening with the funeral on Sunday afternoon.

Late Friday night that week, Callie (my middle daughter) woke up with a fever and throwing up. She was sick much of the day on Saturday.

I was still able to attend the visitation and the funeral because Ryan stayed home with the girls.

This past week has been filled with Halloween preparations. We usually have a small Halloween party and I needed to get the house ready for that. I also worked on getting costumes for the girls.

So, I am sorry I have been a bit absent. I am going to try to start posting more frequently now. I am excited to post a couple of deals I got a Kmart the past couple of weeks.
